Tough movie, real life shit a lot of other movies stay away from.

Extremely overrated. Yes the acting was good, the portrayal of grief and loss, and not being able to move on was really good, but apart from that what else was there. No action, extremely slow dialogue and plot. Just a very dull movie. Only scene I liked was the police scene.

Bro I really just shed a tear watching this. I’m hungover af which made this movie even more depressing but the story telling in it was so good. Casey Affleck was was amazing.

This movie is a bleak take on reality, depression and the grief of not being able to move on and overcome a tragic event, a perfect quote near the end of the film “I can’t beat it..”

There’s no happy ending here, life just moves on. Even if you’re suffering through it all.

I'm afraid this one is overhyped a little bit.
Now look I'm not saying it's bad or anything, it was excellent, but based on what I've heard I went into it expecting a masterpiece.
Had to wait to be alone to let the "cry" out,but there was nothing. Which is weird coming out from👇

Loved it

I rewatched this movie and it’s still one of the saddest movies I’ve seen. A really good character driven story. There are really good performances in this movie.

Kinda pointless, not bad, just had so much it wanted to say and didn’t know how to say it. I feel like a massive douchebag, cuz I didn’t cry—I know it wanted me to, but i didn’t.

The characters were quite unlikable, and not in an intended way. Dont be loud when kids r sleeping.

Hermosa película, con un pasado muy fuerte y triste del personaje. La película es lenta, se toma su tiempo para explicarte cada detalle y el sufrimiento del personaje, que finaliza con un final agridulce pero realista. La fotografía es bellísima en todo aspecto. 10/10

best movie about depression ive seen. the dialogue was top tier, the cinematography wasnt anything spectacular, but the humor was perfect. even with there being no real positive moments in this film, i laughed ALOT. glad casey affleck got the oscar
