People give this a hard time, but despite how emotionally exhausting it is, I absolutely loved the story development. The shots were beautiful and the acting was raw. At some points, it did feel a bit too preachy and egotistical, but I felt what they were saying truly had value.

106 minutes of a bunch of yelling.

fuck. i hate that Sam Levinson wrote this. it’s so fucking good, perhaps the only good thing he’s ever done. it felt so real to what any deep, long term relationship has gone through. especially as a woman- which feels insane to say. i feel like i could write a paper on this film

Not too fond of Sam Levinson, but I must admit this was pretty good…

it’s over 90 minutes of one long couples argument. the longer it went the more i got annoyed because john david washington is irritating in my opinion. probably a top 3 zendaya performance because the director asks her to access her emotional range more than in other projects

Fight, fuck, fight, fuck 🔁 i was overwhelmed but also engaged. The movie isn’t bad and it ACTUally Kept my attention which is very uncommon for black and whites films and me. I would honestly watch with friends just to pick their brain on who’s right…

rollercoaster with these two…
incredible acting and zendaya. the best. i normally like color in movies i think color is beautiful… but for this movie filmed in black n white just worked perfectly !!

It’s sad that he couldn’t truly see her or understand why she was upset. They both feel like people who shouldn’t—and maybe can’t be in a relationship. What’s happening between them goes much deeper than a single fight.

So bored. I hate that it is in black and white too.

Maybe I need to rewatch it, but I guess it just never fully gripped me. The performances were great and it looked great, but something felt too try hard for me. Maybe it’s because I know Levinson made it.

Ugh do I love a bottle film. Their dynamic throughout the film ebbing and flowing was intoxicating. Loved the chemistry and the raw-ness.
