A very odd movie, that didn’t really explain anything.

Ripe for a remake, but this is genuinely bad when you consider Star Wars AND Close Encounters came out just the following year. Rolling Stone puts it at 27 of 50 for 70s sci-fi, and that’s generous.

I can’t tell if they left out a tremendous amount from the book, or stretched the concept enough to have a feature film.

Pure, unadulterated sci-fi. It’s immensely stylised and the effects are wondrous to look at (not saying they hold up, but they are fun). The use of miniatures is something I have always adored and it works well in this. Story feels a little unfocused at times but I had fun

Logan’s Run is primarily for true sci-fi fans. It’s campy, acting is stiff, effects are generally mid (think…Star Wars was made in ‘77), dialogue and continuity are often cringy but the plot and themes of utopian/dystopian/hedonism/ageism pull it together for a fun watch. Farrah❤️

It's absolutely my favorite sc fi film of all time, runners.

Great set design. Interesting plot. A different take on post apocalyptic worlds. I don’t even love sci-fi, but enjoyed this one.

So this was insane

8/10 Such a feel good film!! Very weird in certain parts but straightforward and fairly easy to follow. It has incredible special effects for the time period and a beautiful message of humanity that resonated with me. A little predictable but still enjoyable and entertaining.

One of ten worst movies I have ever watched, but hilarious is you don’t take it seriously. This movie would be best watched with your friends, drunk.
