Surprisingly close to the source material and progressive as a result. Incredible acting and writing.

Katharine Hepburn is a legend, of course, but the actresses playing other sisters did a great job as well. Never was keen on Jo's romance in the final act, but I don't discredit the overall film. I love all 3 of these film adaptations I've seen so far.
