This was definitely creative to watch. It wasn’t my favorite animated short, but I still did enjoy it and its creativity.

A really compelling short fable with odd but still well done stop-motion animation and a unique message by the end. I wasn’t sure where it was going for a while, but by the end, I was satisfied.

The characters never blinking made this kinda creepy.

The animation is unique…wasn’t a huge fan of the story

3.3 - The story was conceptually solid, but it’s so overwritten & unnecessarily extended that I lost interest early & didn’t mesh with the ending at all.

And that’s not even getting into how uncomfortable the style of the patinated & weathered porcelain-esque stop motion characters made me. I just didn’t enjoy this one, but it wasn’t my least favorite.

The Girl Who Cried Pearls is an unsettling animated short with a simple, eerie story. Spoiler: i liked the resolution, the truth of the story didn’t matter. Clever. 7/10

The animation is very unique, not my personal favorite but very well done. I did love the set design throughout.

It’s an intriguing story with good characters. Overall enjoyed it, but not my favorite of the Oscar contenders.

What an amazing short story. The animation is very unique and interesting. The story pulls you in from beginning. The twist at the end gave a good message. I like how the girl was left unanswered to let the viewer decide if it was really something divine or not. 8/10
