Couldn’t finish - slow for a musical, they tried it and the guy is hot but no cigar

I went into this expecting not to like it but my gosh every part of this musical was just simply captivating, prepare tissues!

Kiss of the Spider Woman doesn't have straight up bangers to sing along to, which holds it back from being a must-watch, but it's well executed with great performances..

Almost there but not really at all, pretty slow and loses interest as they are in the same cell most of the movie- I assume as I turned it off half way

What I loved about this film is Tonatiuh’s performance as Molina. Spectacular with good songs. The cut scenes between prison life and Molina’s fantasies are rather jarring, & the overall tone of the film is uneven. It has charm and energy, but there is little emotional impact.

An uneven Musical hybrid with forgettable songs that shorts both its Prison Drama and colorful Fantasy in equal boredom.

A different kind of musical that blends drama with the idealized style of classic 1950s musicals. It’s a bit slow-paced, but well-produced.

Dazzling, doesn't fully quite land though it's very ambitious

It was good. The pacing held up, visuals were sharp, and the performances felt authentic. Some scenes dragged, but overall, it left a strong impression.

I appreciated the dual stories being told and being educated on Argentine history a bit. It’s not quite a musical but has its musical moments. Great acting from a Latino cast.

Have never seen the original but will now. If it’s any good as this i will be very impressed. As a musical? Visuals, sets, and music were great. A couple songs still stuck in my head. Story overall? So deeply moving. What a year for dual (and triple) roles.

Not to be overdramatic, but this is one of my new favourite movies ever

Put Jlo in more musical movies for crying out loud. This should’ve been her career instead of these other garbage tier movies

I have been thinking about this movie. It is crazy to think that they managed to mix a musical with the story of revolution and government crimes in Argentina. 2 very different stories told in a linear way. Beautifully done.

I really enjoyed this movie! Jennifer Lopez does a fantastic job and she’s gorgeous. Everyone in this movie does such a great job. The music is beautiful and the cinematography is done so well. It feels so dark and gloomy and hopeless in the jail, but it’s bright and beautiful and fun when we’re talking about the movie. It does a great job really pulling you in, but it does have some slow moments.

I will be billing Bill Condon, Diego Luna, and Tonatiuh directly for my therapy session after seeing this film. Wonderful, harrowing, colorful, and tragically romantic, this adaptation reminds us of why we go to the movies, both physically and metaphorically.
