spectacular film
the many homages to different genres was truly amazing to watch and kept me fascinated up to the credits — the 2D portion was beautifully done
loved the strong female energy, it doesn’t feel backhanded/male-gazey
gonna be thinking abt this movie for a while

came into it hopeful but there was ultimately very little for me to enjoy about this movie. maybe i should have known better because the only people who rave about it are strange (in the bad way) men and boys. not even the most brainwashed women claim to like it 🤷🏻♀️

I’ve rewatched this movie so many times and I just love it so much. Uma Thurman is a badass and I love the samurai and Japanese aspects as well. Quinton Tarantino doesn’t miss ever.
9.4/10⭐️

This movie is a mess. I love the plot and how Uma basically carries the whole thing but it’s just poorly done in my opinion. I know the blood effects are supposed to look extreme and tacky but it’s too much, sometimes I bursted out laughing in some scene where I definitely should

On rewatch this film is my thrid favourite Tarantino movie. It’s incredibly paced directed and acted. The action is insane in the best possible way and the anime sequences is immaculate overall 9.8/10

Kill Bill: Vol. 1
A sensationally bloody revenge yarn full of cinematic wizardry and driven by a filmmaker’s insatiable appetite for the movies he grew up with.

The plot was not bad, I actually enjoyed it, but some scene were ridiculous ?
First of all I didn’t like the fight with Gogo, the choreography was really bad and why were they moving so slowly? The fact that a trained bodyguard could not dodge a hit like that makes no sense.

Okay, so the plot was kinda basic but Tarantino, with his absurdness keeps you hooked. Loved the scenes and dialogues, and the cliffhanger!

Kill Bill: Vol. 1
Incredible action movie that I’m properly surprised hasn’t inspired an entire genre.
The style is unmatched, not at all realistic, not at all trying to be.
So many things this movie did great:
Camerawork
Narration
Acting
Once again, the style
B&W
The Lucy Liu English scene 👍👍
