The acting was awful, and I thought I was gonna fall out of my chair from boredom.

loved this. seems fairly accurate to what I was taught at skool.. but more entertaining than church. I question than Judas was actually evil.. he was a patsy..set up to do his job! An entertaining but deep film. dated now...ahead of it's time then. John 19.41 so beautiful

who knew jesus was so camp

A truly groovy version of an enduring rock opera. Jesus & Judas have show stealing performances, the songs are iconic & the setting is stunning.

honestly, i expected a lot more. maybe if it was made in the 90s instead of the 70s or if they remade it today instead it would be better? 6.5/10

i was shocked by how much i enjoyed this! i have to say it’s now one of my favorite movies! wonderfully weird & subversive. costumes are incredible.

Let me say that I liked a lot about this movie. Very 70s. The songs were good and the singing cast was GREAT, especially Judas, Jesus, and Mary Magdalene. I could definitely listen to this CD, but it did not work as a movie. Where’s the subtext? It just focused on Jesus the celeb

The music certainly is more rock than musical in modern potrayals, so if youre looking for a strictly musical this ain it. Neeley and Anderson are amazing singers who really sell their roles, and the incorporation of modern clothes and elements were really creative.

I remember watching it at school and surprisingly it was good

I loved how they managed to intertwine the music and the story of Jesus. The soundtrack was amazing.

I'm an atheist but on a cinematic level this film is wonderful, everyone should see it at least once in their life
