Man I really thought I was gonna love this movie based on the beginning but I just expected so much more, Gyllenhaal was still great tho and I enjoyed the movie

I liked this film. I liked how it focused more on the mentality of a marine, but I really wanted to see more action. The acting was just perfect from Jake Gyllenhaal and it’s prob my fav role he’s played.

as someone who doesn’t like/watch war movies this is amazing

a man fires a rifle for many years and he goes to war and afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory and he believes hes finished with the rifle but no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his sons diaper his hands remember the rifle

Hmm.. I think it could’ve been better but it showcased the less “glamorous” parts of war and felt like an accurate depiction of the reality of warfare.

7 Don’t go into this movie expecting an all out war. Its ending was super anticlimactic. On the other hand its all about the mental struggles a marine goes through. Which it did a great job on demonstrating how the isolation, boredom, and the pressure of deployment can wear someone down

Good movie but was kind of a slow story and didn’t have much to show for. Great actors.

Hell ya

A man fires a rifle for many years. And he goes to war. And afterwards he comes home, and he sees that whatever else he may do with his life - build a house, love a woman, change his son's diaper - he will always remain a jarhead.

It’s a good, not a big fan war movies (I watched it because why not), but I understand that they’re showing how “time goes on in the Marines” but it was just so repetitive for a good hour and half, and it started to pick up the pace at the end.
Overall, it was decent

i just wanted jake gyllenhaal to start twerking

jake gyllenhaal gets a scorpion in his ass and has to dig around for it with his whole fists

Things to do to pass the time include, masturbation, reading, masturbation

this shit was fire i love this movie. you can really feel the emotion of the characters plus u can’t go wrong with jake gyllenhaal let’s be honest.

Great movie, left me wanting more. Good thing they made nightcrawler as a sequel.

I’m very picky about war movies. They always seem like gun porn to me. But I liked how this one took you through their eyes. Very well done. Don’t watch while eating
