Man I really thought I was gonna love this movie based on the beginning but I just expected so much more, Gyllenhaal was still great tho and I enjoyed the movie

Not your average action packed gun blasting war movie. It was mental. You felt the pain and disappointment they felt. Amazing acting 10/10 on all part. Amazing movie. Definitely a top 5

I liked this film. I liked how it focused more on the mentality of a marine, but I really wanted to see more action. The acting was just perfect from Jake Gyllenhaal and it’s prob my fav role he’s played.

Very slow paced for a war movie but was reflective of history in that way. The third act is very good and speeds up from the others. Somewhat anticlimactic. Jake Gyllenhaal plays ‘about to go insane’ better than anyone. 8.0/10
