imagine fassbender asking you ‘do you think me handsome?’ and you have to say no

The novel was wayyyy better. They took a lot of the dialogue out and some of the most romantic/monumental lines. Felt rushed and the chemistry wasn’t as intensely felt as the book.

i hate it so much

As a teenager I adored the book and when I found out there was a movie, I remember being hesitant about it cause I was afraid it’d ruin my relationship with the book but then it became one of my favorite movies ever.

5.3~I couldn’t fully follow the story. The film leans heavily into a slow-burn, moody atmosphere, with a sense of mystery that sometimes feels more confusing than engaging. Jane’s life is undeniably unfortunate, filled with quiet suffering and emotional restraint.

I liked the acting, the cast, the cinematography, the costumes, and the setting was on point. Yet, this adaptation misses a lot in key events and important relationships (such as Jane’s relationship with Bessie). Her childhood was poorly portrayed even when it’s an important part

I liked the book better. Maybe it was too long ago that i read the book, but the plot of the movie seemed like a different story…with no dialogue

Maybe I’m biased because I read the book, but this plot makes no sense at all. It’s hard to tell at which part of Eyre’s life we are in and despite her having a hard childhood she learns to overcome it (a pivotal point in her development!) which this movie neglects.
