5.5 - it’s fun to see a demonic horror not based in Christianity, but this doesn’t do anything new. It’s a slightly better version of The Boogeyman from earlier this year, just trading trauma for religion. Horror elements are done decently, but not much memorable. Watch it once.

Shot well and acted decently by an unknown cast, this atmospheric demonic horror film that fits alongside The Boogeyman was better than expected. It was certainly missing something to it, and could’ve benefitted from a higher rating to add in body horror and gore, but solid.

It was a nice watch. I’m in love with the score. Really felt chilling throughout the movie. I think if they pulled a BirdBox and never showed the monster in the flesh it would’ve been better cuz it literally looked so goofy lmao

I feel like so much more could have been done. The overall pace felt off.
I feel like they should have kept the appearance of the demon unknown, would've been scarier.

It’s okay, but I don’t care

This isn’t a bad watch at all really. It’s a really interesting story and it’s gripping, and the demonic monster’s presence is horrifying when you see it, and eerie and creepy when you can’t. Good build up and pace throughout and a good ending I felt. Would recommend.

The cinematography was great and plenty of good jump scares, but at the end of the day nothing really different or special about it.

For all the hype that was built around this movie, it was a resounding disappointment to be honest
