It Lives Inside

5.5 - it’s fun to see a demonic horror not based in Christianity, but this doesn’t do anything new. It’s a slightly better version of The Boogeyman from earlier this year, just trading trauma for religion. Horror elements are done decently, but not much memorable. Watch it once.

Shot well and acted decently by an unknown cast, this atmospheric demonic horror film that fits alongside The Boogeyman was better than expected. It was certainly missing something to it, and could’ve benefitted from a higher rating to add in body horror and gore, but solid.
