We watched this in my film class (aka 200 STEM majors needing an art credit) and none of us expected much. But it had us sleep-deprived premeds/engineers laughing every scene! We gasped at the surprises, yelled at the obstacles, and CHEERED when the Walls of Jericho fell. 10/10

Needless it is to say that this right here is a masterpiece for the ages so much so that we got every piece of romance in the 21st century right here, even runaway bride!

P.S: “Dunking is an art” damn right it is!

I loved every bit of this movie. It was witty, made me laugh, and their chemistry was so good. Genuinely everything you need in a good rom-com. Only wish the ending gave us a bit more between the little jump.

Such a great movie, funny, witty and good chemistry between Gable and Colbert

Nominated for 5 Oscar’s and won all 5. Won “the big five”. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and actually thought it was pretty funny for being 90 years old.

So cute! The main actress is gorgeous. I just wish there was a better ending scene. It was funny but I kinda wish we got a scene before of them reunited and telling each other their feelings. But I really liked it anyways!

Where’s my happy ending

Surprisingly has kept up well with today’s movie standards of pacing. This was a great film with just the right amount of witty comedy.

Idk who recommended this to me. It was a refreshing watch. I hadn’t realised how old the movie was and I went into it blind. Ig this was the birth of the rich girl poor boy trope. It was an alright watch. Cool to see how different things were back then.

Yup, all of the rom-com cliches are there, but it was a lot of fun to see where they all pretty much originated from. What I find most fascinating is that it's from 1934, but most of it doesn't feel dated, especially the dialogue. They definitely got the most important aspect right, which is the chemistry between Clark Gable & Claudette Colbert.
