This is Oscar Isaac’s best role imo. He plays a depressed folk singer very well, and the dude has pipes. The Coen brothers know how to tell a great story.

A slow, methodical look into legitimate struggle’s relationship with self-destructive behavior. I can’t help but always love Oscar Isaac. And John Goodman…wow.

It’s not bad but I don’t think it’s great either. I’m glad I watched it but was very surprised it’s a Cohen brothers movie. I feel like it’s the type of movie people say they like to come across as profound lol. Worth the watch but idk it’s just neutral to me

uses silence as music; is able to carry whatever through sound and picture simultaneously. Even though I can‘t quite grasp the situation, I can, however, through the artistic depiction feel as Llewyn does, it catapults one into another realm

Great performances, great story, great cinematography, KILLER soundtrack. However, for some reason, I can’t see this as being something to rewatch.

Still worth having a look, especially if you like folk music (I listen to too much Bob Dylan).

A good and underrated gem from the Coen Brothers. With some great performances and the story was crafted in a unique way than any previous film about a musician.

I enjoyed this while I watched it but it’s not a film I would feel inclined to rewatch as the plot is almost nonexistent and the movie has no finality to it. However, Oscar Isaac and his songs in it are great, and John Goodman’s character steals the scenes he’s in

a thoughtful film by the Coen Brothers following a singer/songwriter awfully similar to Bob Dylan…

and that folks, is how life happens sometimes!

I’m still so confused as to who the man that beats him up at the beginning and the end is. The bob dylan cameo was cool

Definitely a good one in Oscars filmography, but I personally can’t watch it again because of the disrespect for the cats.
