This is my first and forever favorite Kurosawa movie.

It’s a beautifully told story of a hard working man. I love how it built up from just plain “boring” working, until finding what is the meaning of life and fully enjoying it to the fullest. While it may look and feel boring, I think it purposefully is. Beautiful film. 9/10

I absolutely adored this movie! I had tears in my eyes by the end. It shows how much we should value life and spend every breathing moment living it. Highly recommend 10/10!
