Some scenes were oddly comical; This movie is not for the faint of heart, though. It handles many dark topics and should be approached while in a level mindset if you are easily triggered or generally uncomfortable with SA, extreme violence, gore, substance abuse, and cannibalism

movie is a brutal but brilliant revenge thriller. the story keeps you hooked as it blurs the lines between good and evil. the acting is top-notch, especially from Choi Min-sik as the chilling villain. It's intense, violent, and not for everyone, but if you like dark..(;

A brutal story of revenge and the disturbing mind of a serial killer. His lack of remorse till the end was spectacular, yet every time he got best was so satisfying too. I just didn’t like the sudden end, like I feel there was a lot of pain due.

What a fillm, imo this is the greatest revenge story ever told, it has the message that “revenge is bad” but it’s all about how selfishness can lead to more harm and it uses violence, and SA to show that. It is shot amazingly and you won’t forget it if you watch it 9.5/10

Top Tier stuff right here. This film uses two types of violence, violence on innocent people and violence on deserving people. Both are executed perfectly; you’re either revolted or supportive. Visually amazing too. Effects are good combined with camera work and art direction.

so, in trying to get justice for and avenge is brutally murdered wife he allowed how many more victims to be created? including his deceased wife’s father and sister…

there’s no denying the movie is well made

but it just feels pointless by the end. the cat and mouse game was entertaining and thrilling at first, but the repetition of it left me bored and tired. and that’s not even mentioning the constant and frankly unnecessary violence against women.

in the end he not only saw the devil but became it as well

This movie is DARK and the gore was pretty intense!! Had to turn away a couple times. But still an amazing watch. If you like revenge films you will love this one.

9/10 this was so good. The revenge was brutal and unique. Didn’t fully grasp the depth it was going into until it started going in. Enjoyed it

Även om den inte var obehaglig vilket jag hade läst på förhand så var den bra. Inte förutsägbar likt amerikanska hämndfilmer utan i sann koreansk anda lite annorlunda. Hade behövt det obehagliga för 5+, nu blir den ”bara” en bra thriller. 7.4/10.

Wow. I haven’t seen a film as good as this in a long time, such a gnarly emotional movie with great gore and a great creative ending. Bravo 👏 if you haven’t watched it… go WATCH IT!
