This is such a creative concept for a movie that I enjoyed. It’s nominated for an Oscar but I don’t think it will be the winner.

It’s definitely an interesting concept, however it was too short for me to really connect to the story or the characters which I get it’s a short film. Could honestly see it as a black mirror episode. 3/10

interesting, well shot and styled, and only one ticket on Kanopy so I’m not left with one odd ticket at the end of the month!

A really bizarre premise that the filmmakers clearly just ran with, and I respect it a lot for that. It was funny but also super interesting.

8.0 - A good tonal change of pace from the first two of the 2025 Oscar Nominated Live Action Shorts I watched.

I’m Not A Robot is darkly funny & unsettlingly relatable. Who hasn’t had a crisis after repeated struggles against a CAPTCHA? Similar to Companion, or as many have said an episode of Black Mirror in its story, but without quite as much depth (understandable for a short, though). It’s well acted & decently shot.

In a year with so much powerful emotion I wouldn’t expect this to win, but I did have fun.
