Had an interesting impact on prison reform, but perhaps a little too dry for me

2/23/26: Oh my god this movie is so horrifyingly real, even today. The American prison system is the most despicable, despairing, corrupt institution that continues to destroy so much without a second thought. Once Americans understand that torture is not sufficient or morally/physically helpful for a prisoner, we may have a society that can actually progress.
