Christian Bale is amazing in this historical film. The beauty of the scenery, music, & emotions shown by the entire cast almost made me cry. I connected with the humanity & humility of the characters, their growth through mistakes or adversity, & their reconciling of differences.

Heartbreaking and beautiful. I think all pioneer/ western movies that are well done are really really sad. Christian Bale with such an amazing performance. Music and cinematography is perfect too. Loved this movie a ton.

Such a good and underrated movie. The story was so chill and emotional. As always Christian Bale’s performance was fantastic. I really like the character development of Joe Walker throughout the story.

Beautifully shot movie. Rare to watch a movie like this and not have green screens everywhere. The acting was great.
