it was okay, just didn’t like how much they modernized it

mid. i hated the magic effects, the humor felt incredibly pandering and it almost never made me laugh, was just nostalgia bait, the only good parts were the characters from the original movie but it felt like they didn’t try with anything else, not surprised just disappointed

9/10 i like the first movie better, but this is still amazing. all if the singing parts are super funny, and i cant wait to see if they make a 3rd movie.

Nothing beats the original, but I still enjoyed it. It felt a bit too modern for my taste, though it kept that Halloween atmosphere. I’ve always loved how movies capture Halloween time in Salem. (4-29-26)

Long-time fans of Hocus Pocus will have a lot of expectations for a sequel, most of which are likely met here. The special effects are better, obviously, but the vibe remains. Hocus Pocus 2 will undeniably get you in the Halloween spirit as soon as the trio shows up.

Think I just had SUCH high hopes for this one that I inevitably ended up a bit disappointed

A wasted opportunity here. Script was brutally bad. The main girls were unlikeable. Out of all the possible sequel options, it’s like they closed their eyes and stuck their fists into the “terrible” pot. No Jay and Ernie (erm..Ice), no Max, no Danni. No thanks

Albeit for some nostalgia and Bette Midler hamming it up in spectacular form, this was pretty dreadful

nothing is gonna beat the original for me but this was a pretty great movie! very fun & enjoyable. sanderson sisters are just as amazing & the new characters are great. i liked some of the modernizations, like the roombas lol. loved the sisterhood theme!

Not as good as the first, but a solid follow-up.

Eh didn’t quite like the fact that they didn’t use anyone from the first one except the sisters and billy but over all cute movie

I believe I was nearly laughing the entire movie but then again I find dumb stuff funny to be honest.
