This is the 4th of the 100 horror movies in my 100 horror movie challenge and rate this mind fuck of a movie 6.9 💀. A woman visits her friends family in the sticks and an intruder shows up and the visit turns into one devastating visit as things are definitely not as they seem. This is another french horror film but does have English talk over and it’s barely noticeable once things start happening. I’ve also come to realize that French horror movies put a lot of emphasis on the final scene as it goes hard. I did enjoy this one, although nothing really “wowed” me!!! Definitely give this a watch if your genuinely into horror movies.

Very interesting…. wow wow that was certainly a movie that I uh…. watched. It was definitely okay on a first watch with an interesting ending.

This was amazing, loved it

i feel like the twist at the end doesn’t fully add up, like i was left trying to piece the movie togethe, but it’s not bad

Killer plot twist - pun intended… honestly really good horror movie

Brilliant tension in the first two acts. Where I feel like this kind of falls apart, though, is act three. The beginning is so well-paced and eerie with so much dread, and it then turns into more of an action/chase sequence, which left me feeling quite bored toward the end.

Also, the twist. I love it in concept. I think it is such a fun idea that takes a standard slasher and makes it new and intriguing. Unfortunately, though, it doesn’t really make any sense when looking at earlier scenes. If it was done more methodically, I think it would have been fantastic. But it feels a little phoned in.

I do, however, love the final scene on the road. It is so well-acted and incredibly intense and heartbreaking. I think it caps off the movie well.

classic. swung for the fences. didnt exactly get a home run, but we'll give it a proverbial double. It was inventive for its time period and budget

Omg la vi un poco empezada porque la estaban dando en la tv pero me sorprendió mucho. Los efectos son geniales . La actuación también es muy buena. El plot twist es bueno pero parece que se les ocurrió a última hora porque hay cosas que no encajan. Por lo demás bien

Low-tension tbh. Some okay effects. Solid twist but it doesn’t go great with the story and it’s not very well done .

Seen the infamous stair case scene when I was like 5 which lowkey traumatized my childhood as that scene was constantly being played in my head until now. I finally found it and watch it after a decade of searching. I can say that this movie did actually cook. Definitely does give you the weird and twisted ahh 2000s horror vibe movie. I really enjoyed the sound design, the background music really made the scenes. Especially during the chase scenes. The way they choreographed that was amazing. The music synched with the movement of what was going on and it just perfected it. Acting was really good too, had no problems with it. The plot twist was crazy asfffff. Didn’t expect it at all. But once you realize it then it makes alot more sense, answering your why questions. For sure one of the movies you’d only watch once and never again. Just because of some specific scenes and also it just won’t beat the first time watch feeling if the plot twist. Only problem I have with this movie is that it’s only in dub…and you can only watch it in dub. Even though it’s a French movie? But still one of the best I’ve seen so far.
