Felt like an hour of a guy running errands followed by a short climax of action. Grace Kelly was a looker, though.

Really enjoyed this Western classic, but how Gary Cooper received such praise for his acting is beyond me. Jimmy Stewart, Burt Lancaster, Cary Grant...those fellas were on another level back in the day. But Cooper's acting here was just borderline bad imo. Must just be a "me" thing tho given how widely acclaimed his performance was.

i don’t know it wasn’t super boring but it doesn’t feel like anything I haven’t seen before, even though I’ve never seen an old western. The ending was nice but simple

Such a simple story executed in such a rich and expert way. A slow burn character exploration of a town of people not willing to defend themselves. Incredible music, incredible sets and classic choreography. Gary Cooper is remarkable and the film is nothing short of gripping
