Lowkirk butt

Rated: 5.1/10

A Blumhouse and Tyler Perry thriller with Chloe Bailey caught my eye. Whitfield chews the scenery, but this feels more like a soap opera than a thriller.

The Director's Eye (What Worked):
• Whitfield is a force, making polite chats feel like quiet threats.
• The violin score gives the paranoia a moody rhythm.
• Bailey sells Laila’s grief, making her bond with Zuri feel earned.

The Friction (What Didn't Click for Me):
• I couldn’t buy Laila’s fling being married into the family that hired her.
• Mixing heavy grief with soapy scheming derails the third act into melodrama.

The Verdict:
It was Meh. Watch for campy drama. Skip if you want a tight thriller.

Loved the music incorporated throughout!!! Definitely took a turn I wasn’t expecting
