It being segmented helped it to not be too tedious to watch, but the writing is straight poopoo. The characterizations and motivations are all jumbled and don’t line up with how they were previously established. Also…space, bruh

I lost faith in this movie the moment I saw it was in space

I didn’t like it!

I mean sure pinhead in space but it’s actually an origin story about the cube. It’s not that’s bad. It was entertaining enough though they seemed to tone down the gore a bit. Bradley still good.

Turbo trash. What should be a good follow-up based on the cliffhanger in the previous movie is a convoluted mess that makes no sense and commits two unforgivable crimes of being boring and making Pinhead boring.

Beginning of its downfall? I liked it’s premise of the generations but it was very tame in comparison to the other movies with the cenobites and scenes, good effects though. Loved the first part though, toymaker storyline is so interesting since it sort of is an obsolete job.

5/20/26: I watched the original version of this and I really liked it, but I found the space plot to be told too sporadically throughout in a way that made the story a bit convoluted and too rushed in ending. It felt like the story should be told in a different order. After watching the work print version, though, I found the movie to be absolutely fantastic. How dare they delete the original director’s vision for the film, it was so fucking epic 😭

it was fine, quite forgettable but i enjoyed watching. haven’t watched the other movies tho so maybe thats why i didnt enjoy it as much

A ridiculous but great time, don’t expect a sensical plot but do expect to have a fun time!

I actually liked the setup in this one and that we got some much-needed backstory. A little more focus could have been placed on Pinhead, but the Cenobite action we did get this time around was great.

Aaaand that's where I stop the franchise 😅
