enjoyed it! (: super exciting & stylish film, tho obviously repetitive. pretty much a blueprint of the type of lighthearted scary movies i like. i used to hate the idea of slasher comedies until i found ones like this, and now i have many favorites like scary movie, tuck & dale.

One of my favorite horror movies. It combines horror and humor so well!

Jessica Rothe is perfect for this film. She has the right amount of comedy but will make a scene have a deep meaning with her acting. Rothe can make you hate her for one minute and then like her the next. I ship carter and tree sue me. 5/5 stars.

Good lord. This was so boring. So hard to sit through; it took me ages to watch it. I didn’t enjoy anything about this movie except for Carter, he was very cute. I wouldn’t watch this ever again. I do not recommend it. Goodbye. Happy Death Day.

Forgettable

Very mixed feelings as it’s whole concept is incredibly good how everything other than the second act sucks balls. The whole who the killer was doesn’t add up for multiple reasons the main ones being motives and physicality. It’s a fun watch but not a good horror movie. 5.4/10

The longer I got into it, the more enjoyability it lost. The only real positives I have for this are the 3 or 4 funny scenes, other than that it's mostly negative. I'm not one for groundhog day type tropes, for a horror movie though...it sounds intresting. I see the inspiration from other films and it still doesn't work because nothing makes sense and the harder I try to find sense, the more confusing it gets. Casting was forgettable, pacing was boring, comedy was meh, horror was non existent, romance was dead, and plot twists were lackluster. Has zero rewatchability, I don't even want to watch the sequel.

Happy Death Day isn't particularly scary, and clearly isn't meant to be - the pleasure lies in the games it plays with its basic storyline, along the way tossing in enough offbeat humour and whodunnit twists to keep us entertained.

This movie is so bad. Do not watch this movie. I know the premise of a Grounghog day slasher sounds cool, but the execution is horrible. I also watched the sequel which isn’t as bad, but is still atrocious. Truly one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. Not at all worth your time

I swear these "horror" movies just consist of 99.9% pissing you off out of stupidity and 0.1% actual horror. Ugh. 1.5/5, for the stress and a couple of laughs.

this was a fun movie. this movie incorporates slasher/horror, comedy and a twist at the end. would recommend if you haven’t watched yet

9.5/if I find this on dvd I’ll definitely will buy it. It’s just a fun horror movie with a sweet meaning behind it. Maybe a bit corny to the end, but it was fun! Because of the hate I really thought it was super bad, but it really isn’t. Also watched this on Mon 16th Sep, weird?

The acting was really good!! I loved the movie, honestly I like Carter(CUTIE RAGHH) but the killer was a surprise! And the ending tricked me too 😭

It was funny and good from what I remember… prolly a solid 6.9/10 I don’t think I’ll watch again

Was it the best movie? No. Was it still enjoyable? Yes. Mainly because you spend the whole time trying to figure out who’s the villain and what’s going on. Do we know why it happens in the end? Again no, but worth the watch nonetheless.
