im legit just filling this out to get the badge cause im a completionist but the halloween movies have always been top tier and will always be in my list to watch in october. its a classic horror movie that you can never go wrong with. scares maybe be outdated but still good :)))

- more plot holes, but better than last one

This was very… not great lol. Hated that they jumped super far ahead AGAIN. Hate the Druid cult bull. Hated how they not only recast Jamie (because of the time jump) but also killed her in the opening scene after randomly making her give birth just so Michael can do something.

One of my favorites in the series

Frequently ripped as unworthy, this installment has more merit than people claim. Michael enters the 90s and bring the kills! People don’t like the cult plot line, but it’s always been there since the first! Samhain anyone? RIP Donald Pleasance and hello Paul Rudd!

This is my favorite series of all time but this movie wasn’t necessary at all and made no sense. The worst so far in the series (rewatching all)
It’s a shame this was the last movie Donald Pleasance was in before his passing. His iconic character deserved a much better ending.

I thought the film was pretty good and interesting overall. The atmosphere and story kept me engaged. However, the cult storyline felt unnecessary and didn’t really fit with the earlier films. If you ignore that part, it’s still an entertaining

A dark atmosphere and heavy tone make it work despite the nonsense. What made Michael terrifying was mystery. Not knowing why he kills is scarier than any explanation. Nothing is more frightening than an enigma. By defining him through a curse, it diminishes that unknowable evil.

Meh.

If anyone asks if I have been in a war I answer yes. They ask me which war, I tell them I watched the curse of Michael Myers. Donald Pleasance's final role in the franchise. His scream says it all. It was the sad war cry we all experienced after this film was over. Terrible!
