From the very beginning, it was clear that this movie was going to be a very slow. the utterly uninteresting characters wandered around the screen aimlessly. I found myself checking my watch repeatedly, wondering when this nightmare would end.

This is a good sequel but the ending was lame. The concept just lost me. The beginning of the movie and set up of the plot was interesting and I enjoyed it. I have seen this many times.

Decent creepy movie. More gory than the 1st one which added to the scare factor. I liked the concept of the ending.

Not a lot (if any) improvement over the first one 🤷‍♂️. Pretty typical ghost supernatural stuff.
Spolier-ish:
Not super crazy about the internet being used in supernatural plot. The crazy-person acting was too much but the character being able to map out the asylum changes is cool

still as good as i remember. super creepy (outlast vibes) and love the connection to the first film! ♥️

crazy to make a joke about ethnics dying first in a horror movie and then have that happen in the film

It was a good sequel, it didn’t take much time getting into the scary parts. I wish there was a bit more build up in the tension but it was good

Was a second movie necessary? No. Was the movie still good? Yes.

It’s been over 10 years since I watched this movie and to THIS DAY it stays with me. The elevator scene STAYS with me still. Every now and then my best friend has someone random text me asking “is grave encounters 2 any good??” And then I proceed to go on a full TANGENT about this movie.
