Absolutely epic. Enjoyed every minute from start to finish. Can’t wait for 2

I had to put my ratings higher than I initially put it. Days have passed since I watched this and I haven't gone a day not thinking about it. It makes my anticipation for number 2 fly high. The surreal time shift to the Roman era is insane, but expected from a filmmaking legend like Ridley. This is easily one of my favorites, for a bunch of reasons. The story to start with builds into the world and characters, giving it all so much juice. The actors all fit so comfortably into their uncomfortable roles, and the outfits? I want Joaquin's wardrobe so badly. The drama is the level of 'entertainment' I yearn for. If we talking Ancient Rome, this sits the throne.

Although Russel Crowe really did amazing in this role, the real star of this movie is Joaquin Phoenix who really feels like the most despicable person to ever exist. Which is exactly how you should feel about him especially from the main character’s perspective.

It’s Russell Crowe come on how can it not be amazing.

Gladiator delivers everything its title promises. The surprise is that this bold revival of the period "sword-and-sandals" epic does so with solid acting, sure pacing and superior style interspersed with payoff-worthy pathos.

A top 5 of all time for me and I’d probably say my first watch is my favorite cinematic experience of my life. Everything is perfect. ​​​​​​​​​​

9.58/10. For some reason I didn’t properly rate this. So I had to re-review it for strength and honor. Super amazing movie. Insane writing and acting. Great music. Best Roman movie. Just iconic in every aspect.

Great film. Really well done. Great cast, and great pacing of an engaging and dramatic story. I really enjoyed this and I’d certainly see it again. I was entertained. Loved it.

Each actor and actress played their roles exceptionally. The cinematography provides this film with beautiful shots and The score composed by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard gives the film a grand and epic feel. Critically acclaimed. 4.5 out of 5 rating
