One of the greatest stories ever told. Seen it a few times and it’s incredible every single time. Three of the best acting performances. And with Gladiator 2 being released it actually makes the story even better and more meaningful knowing who the kid grew up to be an especially with the specific interactions he had with Maximus make the two stories connected and one incredible epic

Ein guter Film, aber kein Meisterwerk. Der Film hat tolle Szenen und gute Charaktere. Jedoch scheitert er etwas an der Tiefe der Story und in meinen Augen besonders am Ende.
Über die Länge kann man sicher streiten, aber das für die Story wesentliche Ende kommt zu kurz.
