I started it, zoned out, looked up and Ice Cube was fighting rock and roll space possessed colonists in a windstorm. Maybe it’s art. Maybe it’s insomnia. I’ll never know…I think John Carpenter was trolling us and kind of respect that

Guilty pleasure at its finest. Classic JC film and highly underrated. The brutality of these ghosts are hardcore and it does have its moments that create suspense.

Oh man what happened here? How did John carpenter fall this hard?

I think I've seen this movie before. Like, 15-20 years ago on TV. I wish I could say I had some nostalgia for it, but I really don't. Weird choices all around. Ice Cube + John Carpenter + cool sets and setting make for a disturbingly lackluster movie. You hate to see it.

It may be ridiculous but it’s entertaining. It’s Carpenter doing a space-horror-western with Evil Dead-style camera madness. Ice Cube and others in space fighting possessed Martian zombies. A cult B-movie in every sense—bloody, loud, and unapologetically weird.
