i think the main reason why i don’t personally love the movie was because a lot of the sexist & misogynistic jokes & story arcs within the movie. the actual story & effects in the movie were okay but it felt very icky at times watching because of what was being said to women.

On balance, Ghostbusters is a hoot. It's Murray's picture, and in a triumph of mind over matter, he blows away the film's boring special effects with his one-liners.

I forgot how much of a dirty comedy this actually was. The casting was unbeatable. Everyone brought something different to the table, whether it be Bill Murrays one-liners, Sigourney Weavers embodiment, or Rick Moranis with his awkwardness. Aside from the costume design and destruction, the soundtrack and sound design make this even more iconic than it was. For its time, the visuals are shockingly good. It feels perfectly cinematic like the story. It doesn't shy away from being outrageous but makes sure to keep grounded. I mean, they added a huge marshmallow man. Do I need to say more?

I HATED that I didn’t absolutely love this movie bc I was so looking forward to it. Some things I liked and some things I didn’t, but overall I had a hard time keeping interest. Maybe I’ll give it another shot next October

Without a doubt one of the best feel good comedies ever. A great cast all deliver here and theirs so many funny lines and scenes that it makes great fun for all the family. It’s fast paced, got an iconic soundtrack and great characters. If you want fun this is one for you

A pop culture phenomenon. For the time I can only imagine how hilarious this was, in combination with its special effects. Even though visibly it’s outdated it holds a certain charm. One of my top nostalgic films.

Platypus Lord is "meh" on

I swear I don't go in wanting to not enjoy these modern "classics." Don't get me wrong, it has it's moments, no doubt, but it is just too silly for my tastes. There's no character development or beating heart at the center, and it has major foreshadowing issues.

i should have loved this much more… i was looking forward to watch this classic. however, there were some part i didn’t get (the whole “zull” thing), maybe i’ll give it another try
