i think the main reason why i don’t personally love the movie was because a lot of the sexist & misogynistic jokes & story arcs within the movie. the actual story & effects in the movie were okay but it felt very icky at times watching because of what was being said to women.

I mean it’s a classic for a reason, iconic scenes, UNFORGETTABLE theme song, great core four cast and side cast, spooky but fun but campy, some moments do get a bit too goofy but it’s a worthy sacrifice! One of my childhood favs.

Another good but not great film. My opinion isn’t meant to go against the grain; it’s just how I genuinely feel. I think many people who consider Ghostbusters one of the greatest films of all time might be viewing it through the lens of nostalgia. Don’t get me wrong—this movie is fun, clever, and endlessly rewatchable. It accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do: entertain. But it’s not otherworldly and it doesn’t leave the impression that truly great films do. But for what Ghostbusters is, it’s definitely a classic and iconic. I was very happy to see that marshmallow man again, Michelin? Whatever that’s the marshmallow man from Ghostbusters. Forever and Always.
