Took forever for anything to happen. Also, violence was a bit for the sake of it rather than being a dramatic device.

A cool look at what New York gangs may have been like in the 1800’s.

Great old school Leo movie. Tells the story of NY gangs of the Irish vs Americans way before the Italian mob

This movie isn’t talked about enough. I truly believe Daniel Day is the best actor of all time. Then its Leo. And them two together in a movie is incredible. 7.8/10

Gangs of New York did have some interesting characters and cool shots especially in the opening scene. But it is not my favorite Scorsese movie.

Gangs of New York is completely severed from Scorsese works with Plot development that could keep me going for hours, what this movie values is to see inside the life of a man and the life of a monster and have a sense of dramatic irony how asimple mandeceivesNewYorks#1gangster

amazing film, it has almost 3 hours, but everything in the plot, the acting and cinematography is so great, acting by Daniel Day Lewis is phenomenous (first film i watched with him), Leo gives his standard, great casting and the battle at the beggining and at the end were greaaat

respectfully, good performances but everything else not for me. 5/10
