Game Night

Classic. Hilarious film, should get more praise than it does

I literally typed “silly, fun, easy to watch” into Google, and somehow the algorithm absolutely nailed it with Game Night. Ridiculous? Yes. Over the top? Definitely. Exactly what I was in the mood for? Completely.

This movie was such a fun ride, and the cast was stacked with so many of my favorites that I was basically excited every five minutes. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is exactly why it works. Just a wildly entertaining, chaotic good time.

LOL funny

Where do I start? This movie is too good. Just a fun thrill ride that just flys by, just 0 to 100. The comedy throughout the whole movie is on point and every joke hits. Had me laughing like it was my first watch. The idea of a game night gone wrong just elevates the comedy with the action feeling real. The cast absolutely pulls this off, and just made the whole thing work. The group of friends felt authentic, with Jason Bateman and Kyle Chandler really pulling off the brother dynamic. Jesse plemons is too good and really pulls off an uncomfortable and off-putting performance. The direction of this movie really elevates it to another level and separates it from a typical comedy or a basic action movie. The camera work, the insane oner, and some establishing shots really hammered home the feel of a Game! Dare I say this movie is underrated?
