You get what you see on the tin. Essentially just another White House Down/ Olympus Has Fallen scenario.

Only this time the president is doing the saving by John Wick-ing everyone else and Homelander is a terrorist (just slightly less psycho).

A typical big-name-led, straight-to-streaming action movie that, like most flicks, tries to fit in every current conversation, from AI to crypto to climate to politics. I gave up following the story, and it became a decent background play—not much to miss, though, as it's very obviously predictable. Meh comedy, meh action, meh dialogue, meh everything. It weirdly felt longer than its runtime, and I really didn't like the family dynamics. I couldn't stop laughing at the performances, too. Homelander needs more than just milk, and after seeing @damioloyede on TikTok, I can't take Viola Davis seriously anymore.

Violet Davis was paid just enough to do the movie but not enough to actually put effort into her acting.

exactly what you’d expect - some parts did make me look away bc the threats were disturbing, but seeing viola + anthony and marsai as father daughter again was cute

lots of unsubtle foreshadowing that takes away from the “plot twist”

That was fun! Love an a$$-kicking Viola!

this is truly mid but viola davis is in there so it’s not that mid if that makes sense

Can’t get around the amount of political correctness

It was enjoyable and easy entertainment. While it had its share of cheesiness, it was just the right level of 90s-style charm. Viola Davis and Marsai Martin showcased the strength of women in a way that felt refreshing for a contemporary action film. Plus, having a female director behind it is fantastic—this is the kind of representation we need more of!

Viola Davis is an absolute powerhouse as President Danielle Sutton, turning the movie into a high-stakes, action-packed thrill ride where her badass military past and sharp survival instincts totally steal the show. Ufff 😮‍💨

Just go into it with an open mind because no way some of it could happen, especially the helicopter scene

Very good! I was anxious the whole time. I love a good action movie. An interesting concept. Always people on the inside ugh. Viola Davis is so epic as always. Lots of great acting and epic scenes

Actually a pretty enjoyable modern Die Hard type action movie. Antony Starr carried this film with brilliant performance as the villain.

Amazing action from Viola I was on the edge of my seat. Loved seeing her in a role like this and especially that her husband and family were black. AND- all my people lived so a win is a win

Exactly what you'd think it'd be. Good action movie, kinda cheesy and unrealistic at times but decent

I'm not even American but I wanted so badly for Kamala Harris to win the election cause it would have meant something but oh well
