Forgotten Island
Wonderful characters and animation come together in an emotional story—even if it is a little overly goofy at times. Animated movies NEED to slow down their pacing, though. The current trend is to shove so much dialogue into a single scene that the audience can only comprehend half of it, and that should stop.

Friendship & memories
Memories…. They are among the greatest gifts we can carry throughout life. Within those memories comes the possibility of something even more magical: friendship
Viewing this film brought to me a moment where I appreciate its stance on carrying, preserving, revisiting, and even sometimes rediscovering what exactly is special about keeping friendships alive. They show the dedication whether the people in it experience the moments of love and respect or even anger and sadness.
Even in “forgotten islands” case, I feel like it’s more than just retracing our steps. It’s also about re-experiencing the differences between us and discovering how those differences can bring us closer together. Whether it is through the film's Filipino connection, the discovery of its main characters, or the folklore figures woven throughout the story, there is such an appreciation for where these stories come from. It shows how much we can embrace and take pride in the stories that are part of us.
There is a saying that I really love in the film. As the saying “Tayo Na” was expressed between Jo and Raissa it felt as though I was given an invitation to experience such a wondrous culture. And even thinking of it now, It creates a feeling in me that is happy to never take for granted the experiences my friendships have given me.
The trailers truly didn’t give this film the love and respect it deserved. Just like Transformers one advertisement situation, the love and respect the animators gave this film shows how the audiences can appreciate something special if it’s given the chance to be seen.

Forgotten Island
Saw an advanced screening and thought it was phenomenal. It was a little zany in some places but overall was super enjoyable. Perfect movie to watch with the family if you’re looking for something.
