Fool's Paradise

Close to a throwback wacky silent movie that is as refreshing as it is silly and delightful.

I’m not sure what to think of this one upon my first watch. It’s got great cinematography and funny performances but the story is kind of a mess and it’s all over the place. I like Charlie Day but this might be a misfire for his directorial debut. I’ll give this a rewatch and see

Kinda weird

Forrest Gump wanna-be. It was cute, and certainly had a lot of cameos, but just didn’t have the same polish, and wasn’t as well tied together with the storyline

Tough to have a mute AND aimless protagonist (just pick one?). However, the cast, design, pacing and setting are great.
