Kinda weird

I’m not sure what to think of this one upon my first watch. It’s got great cinematography and funny performances but the story is kind of a mess and it’s all over the place. I like Charlie Day but this might be a misfire for his directorial debut. I’ll give this a rewatch and see

A clever homage to cinema in many different ways. Cynical commentary on the entertainment industry and society itself. Wonderful comedic elements clearly inspired from the great Peter Sellers.

Stacked cast but boring plot

A couple of great laughs. The table gag is great. Definitely a solid film from Charlie Day, despite any real sense of conflict. 6/10
