honestly fuck the academy for nominating this and even pretending it had a chance to win i think that’s more of an insult at this point than just ignoring it

Doing a documentary in animation form was such a beautiful choice for this difficult story. I was captivated immediately and was pulled into to every minute. A sad, scary, heartbreaking and hopeful film that will stay with me always.

I really like that this documentary is an animated film, I don’t know why but I feel like it’s just able to convey things and hit certain beats that would be much harder to execute in real time. Heartbreaking story but I’m glad it was told
