Not your typical space movie. This story is about Neil Armstrong and the experiences he dealt with leading up to the moon landing. It’s dark in tone but full of heart. Chazelle is one of the directors working in Hollywood, and this is something I highly recommend. 8.5/10

A look into the humble and engineer-centric mind and life of Neil Armstrong. This is a movie about Neil’s hardships through his participation of the space race, and not a film about the space race itself. Both Gosling and Foy do excellent jobs as Neil and Janet Armstrong.

Not the best biopic I’ve ever seen but it definitely wasn’t a bad one. Gosling was great in the role in portrayed Armstrong and telling his story of being the first man on the moon. While it’s a slow film, by the ending, I felt genuinely satisfied overall. 8.3/10 for me!!!!!!!!!!

Powerful movie. Damien Chazelle and Justin Hurwitz simply do not miss. The story and the soundtrack were phenomenal in their own rights. Gosling was good, but Claire Foy stole the show in my opinion. Her performance left me floored. Highly recommend to anyone

Thrilling, asshole-clenching opening. Gosling is excellent and so are the sound design and score. Film captures the wonder of space and anxiety of early space travel, while exploring grief through Neil and Janet’s contrasting responses. Sticks the landing in a note-perfect ending

It’s a slow burn, but I was engaged. For a longer movie though they sped through things at the beginning to get to where they wanted. I love all things space though and it was worth a watch.

so. unbelievably. slow.

Did not realize that it is a movie pretty much 85% about dealing with grief. I was (dumbly) expecting more of a hidden figures vibe?

Great sound design and visuals. More of a show don’t tell movie focus by on Neil Armstrong as a person and his hardships with the space race more of a background. Good not great a bit slow.
