First Man

Not your typical space movie. This story is about Neil Armstrong and the experiences he dealt with leading up to the moon landing. It’s dark in tone but full of heart. Chazelle is one of the directors working in Hollywood, and this is something I highly recommend. 8.5/10

A look into the humble and engineer-centric mind and life of Neil Armstrong. This is a movie about Neil’s hardships through his participation of the space race, and not a film about the space race itself. Both Gosling and Foy do excellent jobs as Neil and Janet Armstrong.

Not the best biopic I’ve ever seen but it definitely wasn’t a bad one. Gosling was great in the role in portrayed Armstrong and telling his story of being the first man on the moon. While it’s a slow film, by the ending, I felt genuinely satisfied overall. 8.3/10 for me!!!!!!!!!!

Absolute madness, beautiful & impressive movie though!
So it seems Neil wasn’t one for words and very composed with feistier Jan(et) by his side.
Looking at my 1970 Cadillac Eldorado, it’s (very) hard to believe it happened at all (eg the mechanical altimeter at the beginning! 🤣)

Really good Ryan Gosling performance. The movie is interesting if you like autobiography. Nothing extremely revolutionary, just a look into a life and a job extremely dangerous and all the psychological thing that comes with it
