The intro is probably the best part of the entire movie, the build up was done flawlessly and it was the same feelings i’d get watching the other movies in the series, I think the movie would have flat out just been better if they focused on the characters established in the intro instead of the route they went and I enjoyed the mini build up ending we got as well

“Its all just math equations” 🥴 shut the hell up, the modern day dialogue made me wish I was born deaf

I know it sounds like I hated this movie but i’m telling you the death sequences were just so fun it makes up for the fact the main characters we are forced to deal with after the intro suck ass

In a better universe we got a 1960’s prequel final destination movie that absolutely fucks but I can be content with this instead

8.2 - Are people going to get mad if I say this was the best of the franchise?

Obviously, it needs the rest to fully hold up but it felt like a pure love letter to early 2000s horror & the Final Destination franchise as a whole. It felt honorary while also feeling fresh, creative, & new instead of derivative.

It not only tied together & confirmed all the established (though occasionally contradictory) rules from the previous movies, but also utilized them effectively for key moments. It’s loaded with great misdirection & suspense. It paid tribute to the paranormal elements established in the first entry but also didn’t shy away from the pure splatter & comedy the later versions leaned into. The acting was solid, & we got a beautiful & sadly pertinent monologue from Tony Todd.

It’s overall well balanced between the cheesy, goofy, & gory, & the suspenseful & supernatural elements, while also being incredibly accessible if you’ve never seen another one of the franchise. And it’s just a good time.

Weakest one of the franchise….

I thought it was great, I love all these movies.
the deaths were gory and creative as always.
also loved the chemistry between the cast. I kinda wish we got to see some flashbacks when it referenced the other movies but it was still cool

The movie was underwhelming. I mean they had all this really cool promo and then when you actually see it it’s nothing like you would imagine it. There is only one death scene that is really worth the watch. 1/10 movie honestly they should have just left it to the originals.

It was ok but it felt like soulless, it didn’t have the thrill that made the old movies good. The kills seem rushed and not thought out a lot. The story seemed rushed and unoriginal and most of the acting felt fake. 5.5/10

solid for a FD movie ig. liked the beginning part. deaths were insane as always. gonna be honest one of the things i liked about the old movies was the early 2000s vibes so this one fell short for me 😭 + characters were more iconic :/ lovedd richard in this, so nice seeing him.

It was fun—and it’s exactly what you expect from a final destination movie. It doesn’t change up the formula much, but the characters are likeable, the kills are over the top (and sometimes surprising), and death is as creative as ever. My biggest problem is the trailers—stop giving away all the best kills in the trailer!!

Unpopular opinion alert:
Gore porn and nothing else, all these movies serve to do is make the most anxious part of the population afraid of simple things like semis in traffic by showing ridiculous accidents that are often times not physically possible. These movies lack content

I hate to get hit by recency bias, but I definitely think this is one of the best of the franchise, up there with 3 if not having a little bit of an edge above it. The coolest part of re-quels is taking familiar tropes and expanding on or altering them, and this did a great job.

Cool deaths

This movie was insanely good and fun it was really such an amazing film the deaths were so creative and satisfying. This movie just saved the franchise fr it perfect to close the series or to keep it going.

C'est le premier que j'ai vu et franchement j'ai kiffé. Erik il est trop marrant mdrr (mskn d'ailleurs). En plus les effets sont trop bien fait on s'y croirait vraiment. Hâte de voir les autres 😂
