Better than 3/4. Hello again mr Tony Todd! Also it was okay but the ending was pretty cool and made it so much better to me.

Being an anxiety-ridden daydreamer, constantly dreaming about the 101 nonsensical ways I could currently die, I never really had any interest in these movies. That was until I saw the trailer for the new one and thought it looked more comedic than horrifyingly dreadful, so I gave it a chance. I don't really have anything positive to say other than how surprisingly entertaining some of the deaths were. What brings the ratings way down is the lack of rewatchability and the writing in general. Tension-breaking and boring 'dramatics' plotted between outrageously semi-unpredictable disasters.

loved the franchise. always caught you off guard. you thought you would predict something but then something else happens that was complete opposite. pretty gruesome tho lol. some of the scenes were pretty gory lol. but never disappointed. i am doing this to get for achievement.

this film had a real woah moment with its full circle ending. connecting the plot back to the original was incredible and made it so much better, though it leaves some plot holes—how could it reference the other movies if this happened first?

The thing about this one is that I genuinely really like the story and characters and deaths, it’s just that the tone was ALL over the place. It did what a lot of franchises do in later installments, which is lean too heavily into comedy. It felt clinical and way less harrowing.

Final Destination 5 benefits from smart 3D, but even in 2D, the set-pieces will satisfy -- presenting some of the most outrageous kill sequences in franchise history.

Corn balls but I love it

This movie ranks third out of all six. The opening scene was great, I loved the idea of a bridge collapsing. The death scenes were also brutal like the Candice one gosh that was crazy. This is the only movie we see someone “kill” and actually survive for a bit…if ykyk but also(1)

A nice full circle moment

As an ex gymnast, that one scene really threw me off so bad. But as for the rest of it, I wasn’t expecting it to turn out the way it did, until I realized this happened before all the other movies. The ending was still the only good part bringing it all together in my defense.
