God, how is Frances this gorgeous.

I realized that I hate people from Minnesota

“There’s more to life than a little money, ya know?”

Really solid movie, and my personal first Coen brothers movie! I enjoyed Fargo from start to finish. The very quiet midwestern backdrop, and with that, all of the characters with underlying motives, contrasted with Marge and her simple but sweet little life. I had always heard good things about this one, and I understand why now.

This has been on my list for a long time and I’m glad I finally watched it. Definitely recommend!

Not sure why this movie is so highly regarded. The exaggerated Minnesota accents and quirks were overplayed about five minutes in, and from there it became a real chore to finish. I kept watching, hoping for some kind of redemption or payoff, but it never came. If you showed me this movie without context, I would’ve assumed it was a parody of Minnesotans and crime dramas. It dragged, the characters felt flat or caricatured, and I won’t be watching it again.

A view so spectacular I wish the story did the same thing too. It’s just okay movie with nice crime story and powerful characters. Need some spices to make it memorable (except yeah yeah yeah)

Banger. Was talking in the accent for days after. Well shot and well written, alittle short, wish some loose ends were tied up better

Immaculately plotted, beautifully written and superbly shot by British cinematography Roger Deakins, a longtime Coen collaborator, Fargo is a treasure.

Cohens kill it. watched this gem for the first time-love most everything about this movie- each accent is unique & every character is areal person. I just wanted it to not end! Chemistry-Macy,Mcdormand,Buscemi,Stormare are all just great.The acting, writing, cinematography-dope.

Classic! In my top 10 for sure!

Frances could talk to me all day

Fargo is a great movie, the Coen brothers did an amazing job of making you watch to finish this film. Steve Buscemi is a dirtbag to such a degree it is hilarious. William Macy’s character the entire time is the stereotypical midwestern guy that has a dark motive behind his action

I liked the story and the crime parts of it but other parts felt awkward, like I didn’t know if it was supposed to be funny or serious. Also found it annoying every time they say “Yah”

I loved that it took place in the winter/snow, the 90s feel, their accents (which I’ve never heard in a movie before), the female cop character and the ending!

oH jEeZ these accents are maliciously insulting

One of the best Cohen brothers movies, never gets old or feels dated, gets better with every rewatch
