I should've been more prepared going into a Bergman film because it's a lot to absorb. Cinematography is probably his best, and acting is top-notch, of course. Over 3 hours, in a heavy drama, is a lot to ask, but Bergman's work always keeps you invested and thought-provoking.

I enjoy the film except two factors! The inappropriate scenes but I ain’t complaining but you know, second the time! THE MOVIE IS 3 HOURS. Thats about it

great acting, great family dynamic, wonderful use of color and the supernatural!! sadly you can feel that this is a 3 hour movie cut from a 5 hour series, and there are some crucial developments that happens completely of screen :/

a monumental film that masterfully blends the comfort of childhood with its horrors. a beautiful watch with elegant set design and cinematography full of painfully complex and human characters that are written and acted perfectly; an incredible epic that holds up wonderfully

A massive film that covers a lot of different themes, there was a bunch of great performances, and maintained my attention across the whole run time, overall very interesting story
