I think movies are the biggest reason people believe in love at first sight, because Fanaa expects you to believe a sheltered blind girl falls in love with her tour guide in a week and is ready to build a whole life with him.

Zooni falls for Rehan's poetry and attention, not for who he is. She mistakes words for character and ignores every red flag. The film frames it as true love, but most of it just feels like terrible discernment and zero awareness of danger.

The second half tries to become more serious, but the logic never catches up. Rehan lies, disappears, and comes back expecting acceptance, while still working with a militant group that would kill his family without hesitation. He didn't even choose to return — he just knocked on the nearest door that she happened to be behind.

The only moment that really worked for me was Zooni turning Rehan in. That was the one time she chose clarity over emotion. Everything else is reckless decisions held together by an incredible soundtrack.
