I expected a standard Bollywood rom-com, but it's a vibrant Indian spin on Bonnie and Clyde pulling cons instead of using bullets.
The Director’s Eye:
The camera nails India's colorful energy, and the costumes really pop against backdrops like the Taj Mahal. As a conservative, watching them ditch traditional plans for a life of crime was tough at first, but I loved the redemption arc! Choosing to reform for their newborn is a super powerful, pro-family message. The electric soundtrack also adds a fun, bouncy momentum to the heists.
The Cuts:
With so many back-to-back scams, the middle part really dragged for me. The comedy is super over-the-top, making their disguises feel way too cartoonish to take seriously. It also felt a bit too easy that they didn't face stricter legal consequences for robbing innocent people blind for years.
Verdict:
A colorful caper championing second chances and choosing family over crime. Solid weekend watch!
Favorite Line: “There are two types of people. Those who live their dreams, and those who just dream.”
