what the hell was the moment when the evil ghost suddenly started praying, caught the fire and flew like a rocket into the air

only reason I kept watching, is because of Lee Do-hyun especially with a man bun 😍

Gave me chills every second. The plot so complex yet executed nicely. Everything was connected smoothly; the scares, the twists and the acting. Reminds me a lot of The Wailing, and on par with it.

8/10 I love Asian horror so much. They push the limits but don’t go too far. This felt on the same level as the wailing but with a different ghost.

It was good. I don’t feel like it’s a masterpiece that lives up to the hype. But it’s a decent watch.

I’m not really a horror movie expert but I enjoyed this one, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more if I had more background knowledge on S. Korea’s war history

Folklore superstition horror is so fascinating. Weave in collective Korean trauma and exhilarating ritualistic cleansing dance sequences and you have a recipe for a great film. Alas, a film on the precipice of greatness is more annoying than one that’s nowhere near anything good.
