As someone who just exited childhood, this movie was too real. So much so that it made me feel a visceral level of cringe. It made those heart warming or sad scenes, hit even harder too. Most βcoming of ageβ movies are out of touch, but this one actually felt like being 13

This movie was uncomfortable, honest, and the thing I loved most about it was the universality it had. It gave a glimpse inside the digital generation and it was such a rare movie that I think speaks to any age. Bo Burnham did an amazing job writing this story.

its really accurate to kids in 2017, and some parts were relatable. alot of second hand embarrassment tho, so u gotta prepare yourself for that LOL

Did an excellent job reconnecting me with my middle-schooler self. Had me welling up with the themes of growing up, losing our innocence, struggling with insecurities and self worth, and navigating the world while discovering your identity. Captured the cringe of 13 very well.

yes itβs supposed to be uncomfortable BC BEING THIS AGE IS UNCOMFORTABLE. brought up a lot of repressed memories in me. one of the best portrayals of middle school iβve seen. some may not relate to this, but as someone who was in a same boat as kayla, this hit home. loved this

It was okay. I didnβt really like it bcuz it was really cringe, but I liked how realistic it was from my school experiences that I felt like I was back in school again. It was just too uncomfortable to really enjoy it
