I am only disliking this movie because E.T gave me nightmares as a kid and I am still not over it. Also please don’t try to gaslight me into thinking E.T is cute like my family has, he is terrifying and I will die on my grave bed saying that 🫡

Nie richtig geschaut aber trotzdem gut

The last 10 minutes has very little dialogue & John Williams’s score tearing at your heart. This is not about an alien that befriends a boy; this is about a lonely boy who’s parents have recently divorced. His yearning for connection is found in an unlikely bond with an alien.

ET is too scary

This is peak Steven Spielberg, he will never top this masterpiece. This movie brought me to tears even though I was an unfeeling psychopathic child. It is the only reason I am normal now. I still sleep in my ET bed sheets.

Classic

E.T. is most definitely one of those wholesome films that should be passed down from generation to generation. The story of friendship between a boy and an alien works so effectively because of how Elliot treated E.T. and how their connection was built up. 4 out of 5 rating

This movie always fascinated me as a kid but it gives you the same feeling as an adult.

The first time I saw this movie the part that freaked me out was when they find E.T. In the bathroom and he’s completely white, Sick, and dying. I don’t know what it was about that scene.

Lowkey traumatized me at like 7 but a classic none the less

Hate it. Gave me childhood nightmares. Had to sleep with the light on for 6 months.
